Well, Black Circle expanded them a bit by giving them some sort of blood
magic. Not sure if it's prestige material or not, maybe a new base class
(blood mage) or a feat-required (Arcane Background: Whatley) spell list.
Anyone who actually has Black Circle could probably help more than I could.
I do notice a tendency in D20 to create pretige classes instead of just
expanding/aletering/creating a new base class. I agree with the decision to
make the WWitches into a prestige class, as well as the Rangers, Agency and
Shootists, Metal Mages, etc., but I guess I spoke to soon when I mentioned
the Whatleys as a pretisge...unless the magic is more learned than
innate...not sure as I don't have that blasted book and my gamin budget is
shot until after the first of next year.
