I believe Hexslinger is to Shootist as Enlightened Martial Artist (The 
Great Maze) is to Enlightened Martial Artist (Hexarcana).

Basically, the Shootist is a rewritten version of the Hexslinger. I 
don't have the Ranger book, though.
