What I did in my campaign was to use the Witch archetype from Hell on Earth
to run the NPC Witch spy set among my posse.  Now, when I did this, it was
in the pre-d20 release world and I haven't picked up any of the d20 books
for Hell on Earth, so cannot comment on how they look there.  But I found
the stuff there perfect and easily used.  For my money, that's the easiest
way to go.
