The Colt Cetacean?  Sorry, couldn't help myself.  ;-)

Actually, from looking at the poster and some pictures of Civil War era
weapons, I believe he's using  "The Southern percussion six-shot (Cap and
ball) revolver, circa 1860, was manufactured by Griswold & Gunnison near
Macon, Georgia."  To the best of my knowledge, it's basically the same as a
Colt Army revolver.
