Anything by Joe R. Lansdale is good fun, as funny as a
hog on ice and as sharp as a Clovis point. His earlier
western 'The Magic Wagon' was the first weird west
story I ever read, this was a good few years before
Deadlands was published mind you, and he has another
western novel whose title I forget which is a perfect
Deadlands scenario.
