Re: [DL] Original or d20?
Heh, you're new, so I'll brief ya. I know it's an innocent question, but
it's likely the most asked, and has started the most flame wars. Both are
great systems, and each has its merits. D20 system is simple, easy to
learn, and very compatible, but has some problems with firearms and such,
while the classic system is a favorite of those who don't like affixing a
level number to their character. It provides for great detail and realistic
combat. But honestly I'm a bit worried one of the members of one camp will
say "X system stinks! Y system rules!" and it'll start all over again.
Oof. I'm a veteran of the great flame war of '02, and back in my day we'd
fire shots over it! Of course, all the classic players had to roll for
location, and the D20 players for crits..But it ended when everyone's guns
mysteriously exploded after they rolled 1s.
