Re: [DL] SA, DA Guns and Law Dogs

Law Dogs was printed under the first edition rules.  Hope that clarifies things.

Hello everybody,

i just picked up a copy of law dogs and after looking trou the new rules for gunfigths and weponlist i got a bit confused.

some time ago i read somewhere (dont remember where) that in the revised edition (i only own the first ed) the speed of the weapons where deletet and that SA guns and rifles now shoot once whit an action while DA guns can shoot twiche. As far as i understood that would mean that you no longer need to coock your SA guns.

But now in the rules of law dogs they clarify the quick draw aptitude and there is also meantioned the Tn to draw and coock your gun. so you still have to coock them? Then a bit later is meantionad that one of the new triggers avoids the -1 penalty of DA guns. what is that penalty about? i assume that DA triggers work a bit harder then SA ones so it makes your aim a bit unsteady.

And in the weapontables SA guns are listet whit ROF of 1 while DA ones have one of 2. So it was correct what i read about the SA and DA guns in the revised edition, just that you ALSO have to coock the SA?

if i understand everything correct that would mean that

SA need to be coocked and then can fire one time or when fireing from the hip and taking -1 (or 2 dont remember exactly) to hit

DA dont need to be coocked and can fire twice whit one action

so that would mean

SA 1 shot in 2 actions w/o penalty or 2 shots in 2 actions firing from hip
and
DA 4!! shots in 2 actions @ -1 for using a DA gun?

did i miss something or are DA really 4 times faster then SA?

thanks for any help in advance
