Mr. Chiddicks seems a newcomer to the list. Let's please not hold
him accountable for the sins of others in any case.

Maybe *I'm* the jerk?;-)

I greatly appreciate the vote of confidence, good sir, but I do
not want what may or may not be hanging on my wall to stifle debate on any
(on-topic) subject here. Certainly, I want to contribute here when I can,
but I don't ever want anyone to think they can't or shouldn't disagree with
anything I assert.

Yes, indeed it is.

I'm endorsed to teach all Social Studies disciplines. Anybody got
a quarter?;-)

Well, to be fair, it just means that I make stuff up.:-)

Thank you, good sir!

For the record, that's true, except I'm only a Sergeant.

To be fair, there's nothing I know of directing newcomers to the
archives, and digging through seven (or how ever many survived the crash)
years' worth of posts is a bit much to ask of them. I'm not even sure the
first great War debate on this list survives.
I appreciate the kind words directed at me, Mr. Anderson, unworthy
as I am of them, but methinks perhaps it's time we end this topic here.
