Just to let you know it looks like the focus has not shifted to D20 they seem to want to get the books out for the character classes.  The new book titles Lone Stars on the texas rangers is a book that covers both systems.  The setting is the same its just the mechanics that are diffrent.  So evetualy I would love to see them do new books that cover both systems in one volume.  right now they have to put out all the stuff for the characters in D20.

On a side note I agree with you that classic deadlands is a more unique system and keeps the flavor of the gane better.  The D20 loses stuff because of the lack of cards
