I can only speak for Austria.
In the few gaming shops we have here, the best-selling stuff (judging from
the size of the shelves) would be:
Das Schwarze Auge (a German RPG, very popular, with huge background
information. Nearly everyone who starts with RPG in Germany or Austria
starts with DSA. I heard that they wanted to hit the US market too, but I
don't know what they called the game there - Aventuria or something like
that...)
AD&D/D&D 3rd - Hey, we're not NZ!
And then there come various other games. Gurps, Star Wars, a lot of
Vampire: The Masquerade, a little less from the rest of White Wolf-Games...
Deadlands is pretty low-selling here. I guess about the same amount as
Earthdawn (which is my favorite fantasy game. Or was, at least, since I
haven't played it for 2 years now).
