Actually I like the idea, but you would have to make sure is flows both 
ways, i.e. you big baddies would only be allowed one chip per hit as well.  
I do think this makes the game a bit grittier,  which I like.  I have to 
agree I hate getting really good hits on a player and them just spending 
chips and getting off with nothing.
