Neither, really - depending upon the size of the hole and the strength of
the material the air would just rush out. If it was weak structural
material the hole might tear out a bit, but exploding is an unreasonable
description as sooner or later the hole would get big enough that the force
of the escaping air isn't enough to tear any more of the hull (but the hole
may already be reallly big). The reports of the Apollo 13 mission indicate
thier small hull breaches wern't explosive - they just cost them atmosphere
and threw them off course (thruster effect). A bigger hole would allow more
to rush out but at less pressure. If the hull was made out of *really* weak
(think balloon) material then it may explode.
