The thing about Europe in the Weird West timeline is it would be something
of a Weird East! If the Franco-Prussian War is still going on, not to
mention the threatened war between the Russians and Turks mentioned in the
Marshal's Handbook then Europe would probably be more lawless than any
boomtown. Even Germany was a pretty rough place in the ninteenth century and
that's in our time! In the deadlands world you could have dark forests
(Lycanthropes or dread wolves anyone?), dark magic, walkin' dead and
superstitious natives. Sounds fairly familiar to me. At least more familiar
than Back East... ;). Apart from lingual and cultural differences, a saga in
Eastern Europe would be quite similar. It would be good to possibly see
articles about Europe, Asia and Australia and the dark secrets the reckoners
have planned for those countries and their people in the Epitaph. Anyone
agree?
