I started my RPG experience with AD&D 2nd Ed. some firends of mine at
school played and asked me to join. I saw nothing wrong with it and
niether did thye, so I asked my mom if i could go. She flipped when I
told her it was D&D. "That's satan worship!" she says. "Mom. It's a
game." "But it's an evil game!" "It's just playing pretend with rules!"
"EVIL!" It went on like that for a while. I never did get to game with
that group. My mom finally agreed that she'd let me get the books if I
would talk to my priest about it. So we went and had an interview with
Father Mike. I was hoping he'd pull out his own copy of the Dungeon
Master Guide, but no such luck. However, he did say "As far as I know
it's just playing pretend with rules. People who want it to be evil will
make it evil. People who want to have fun playing a  game will do that."

There for my RPG playing has been condoned by a PRIEST! MWAHAHA!!

On a side note, everyone who has ever played any RPG should listen to Dr.
Demento's "Dungeons & Dragons" and should be played for anyone who 
thinks that RPG's are evil. It's hilarious
