[DL] The Civil War again

Mornin'

 I  have  another  question about army in the Civil War era. This time
 about  uniforms.  The  http://www2.powercom.net/~rokats/civil_cs.html
 and  http://www2.powercom.net/~rokats/civil_cs.html  sites provide me
 some good informations but...

 I  know  that  various units have different colours of insignia (i.e.
 red  for  artillery  and  blue  for  infantry)  but  were  there  any
 differences  between  units  in the same army? I've watched North and
 South  episode  this  morning  (yes,  it's  once again in tv, here in
 Poland)  and I saw marksman from the Union army in green uniform.
