RE: [DL] Lone Stars first impressions (vamoosin')
Vamoosin' is actively getting the hell out of the way of an attack.
Once it has been determined a character has been hit, either in melee or
at range, he may throw in his highest card (cheat card being "higher"
than other actions), to roll his dodge (ranged) or fightin'(melee). If
he beats the attack roll that just hit him, he's missed. Even if he
doesn't beat it, he's got a good chance of lowering the number of raises
that hit him, since the attack roll now didn't hit him by as much.

Not quite true; a character has to Vamoose or else have a cheat
card to use No-Sell.
ok.. could you please do me a favor, and explain vamoosin'? i thought
it was where a player had to spend his cheatin' card to 'vamoose/run'
before the <blank> hit the fan.. basiclly running, before all the
zombies came thru the door; or the big guy, that just shook off being
blasted in the back, by both barrels of your shotgun, at 2 feet away,
turns around...
thx.,
