Regarding Bonasco:
Because of the "history" text mentioning competitors of, as I recall,
Dixie Rails, but in particular Bayou Vermillion, Bonasco would almost have
to be in southern New Mexico. There's also a comment about "this corner of
the territory," I think, and the fact that it's on a rail line, which both
argue for placement in that area, and near either TX or AZ.
At least, that's what I remember. I'm running my campaign in NM and plan
to lure the posse into Bonasco. I placed it in SW NM on the BV line. I
didn't want it too close to either El Paso or Tombstone/Tucson.
This also required me to place the other towns mentioned in the history
(the part where the wall-crawlers get stirred up, as mentioned in the
Marshal's section) in that region. Seems like it will work fine, I just
have to get them there, now.
From the other answers, it sounds like this one is fair game to put where
you like it, so YMMV.
