Actually its a contentested Str vs Vigor check(If I am remebering
correctly).

The player hitting makes his Strength Check, The guy/girl getting hit makes
a vigor check. The result is then done to the person in Wind. Example

Bob(str 4D12) punches George(Vigor 4D10) and hits

Now there are two thing that can happen,

Bob Rolls higher then George. Bob Rolls and 14, George rolls a 8. George
then would take 6 wind

Bob can roll lower of Equal to George. Bob Rolls a 9, George rolls a 11.
George takes the hit but shrugs it off.

This is how I remember it. Someone with the book in front of them can feeel
free to correct me.

Dan
