I'm sure most people read the email I sent about the gaming group I used to be in.  It was brought to my attention that I was hardly the "bright shinning innocent" player.  And, I wasn't.  If I gave that impression, I do apologize.  I didn't intend to demean anyone in that group.  I was just as guilty of bad roleplaying as some of the other.   I did try to find ways to keep other characters on a level where there were not a obvious threat to me.  As I said, it was a somewhat ... brutal party.  
Since I did seemingly "slam" the gm, I would like to point out also that he did have really great adventures and was really good at "on the spur" marshalling.  You would have to be to have kept that group in line.  When we were good, we were awesome.  Without giving spoilers we ended the "Ghost Busters" module really darn quick.  As in the really good way, if you follow my meaning.  
And no need for the moderator to say I getting off topic, as this will be my last email.  I do apologize to anyone that feels I slighted, insulted or anything else to them.  That was not my intent.  My intent was that I asked some good gamers what they thought of a situation as I remembered it.  Like anyone else, I do remember things in false ways that may be only to my advantage.  Kind of like when someone dies all you remember are the good times.  As I said, when it was good, I couldn't wait for the next session.
