RE: [DL] Question about Law Dogs E-book

Title: Message
Its not a bad disk.  Whatever PEG is using to write the CDs makes them unreadable on Windows NT or 2000.  Try opening the file on a Windows 9X, ME, or XP machine and it should work.  Once you copy the file from the disk, it'll work fine anywhere.  Its just those disks are unreadable on NT architecture.

I had the same problem, and sent it back, and Shane was kind enough to send another one, which failed as well.  I just randomly tried it in another PC and WHAMMO!  it worked.

Hello all,

Just joined the list today and I've already got a question. I
purchased the Law Dogs E-book a few months ago, and I'm just now
trying to open the file. However, Acrobat Reader 5.0 won't open the
file and gives me the error message, "There was an error opening the
document. The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable." I get the
same "corrupted and unreadable" message when I try to copy the file
from the CD to my hard drive. Has anyone else experienced this
problem, and is there a workaround? Or am I going to have to send
the CD back and ask for a replacement?

Thanks,
Robert

Sounds like you have a bad disk! You don't need to send it back, just email me privately with your name, address, and what I'm replacing and we'll send it out immediately.

Thanks!
