i just received an order from peg, via ups.. it took 2 weeks to get and was left out in the yard..i'm glad it didn't rain today, or my sprinklers come on. woulda been a heckuva a way for books and the lithograph. i was given noway to track it and the email notice i received as order confirmaion said '4-6 weeks shipping'.
Whenever we ship an order (domestic) we enter the customer's email, and the computer automatically sends a tracking number. If you didn't get a tracking number, then either we entered your email incorrectly (certainly possible), or it bounced on your end (which happens all the time--especially from Hotmail and Yahoo).
the price of shipping was double that of priority mail; which for a whopping 35 cents more could've been tracked.
A) But tracking at the post office was only added fairly recently, and we are actually looking into shipping. But I was told by our Postmaster that the PO tracking only said when it left and when it was delivered. UPS tracks every routing point in between.
ups does have international shipping, by the way.. but it's more than double thei regular price, and doesn't go to every country.. something about ups not wanting to share the profits with the host country..
Which is why we don't use it. Plus, UPS may deliver to particular companies, but they don't deliver to all locations in those countries. Just like FedEx actually *doesn't* guarantee all destinations in the US (Honesdale, PA, for example).
