The "delusions of adequacy" bit is all mine.  The
"shithammer of God" portion is a very loose homage to
Preacher and Jesse Custer (written by comic god Garth
Ennis).  The "God help anyone..." portion has probably
been in any number of action books and movies, though
I do recall a version of it in "Babylon5."  Aside from
that, it's pretty much something that can be taken
from the "pep speech" in almost any action
movie/novel/etc.  
But it still sounds pretty damn cool.
