I ran the Night Train as a one shot filler (i.e. time to try out
different characters and be less serious) for my posse. They had made
up new characters for the experience and knew that the session would be
especially deadly.

To be honest fitting the whole adventure into one session was a little
rushed. the preliminary worked well - however there wasn't enough time
to let them discover the secret behind the adventure gradually so
everything was pretty much in their face.

When the train pulled up - the posse all stood there to watch it along
with the deputy. When the doors opened the deputy failed his scart
check - had a heart attack and then fumbled his vigor check - falling
dead on the spot. The posse ran for the jailhouse - however stopped
shot of locking themselves behind the bars. Here they made a stand for
it, blocking the entrance/windows. The vampires took some knocks
however managed to get in through a window firstly and then the door.
Two PC's fell due to blood loss (because of wounds not bites) the
remaining 2 - a mad scientist with flame thrower and a gunslinger were
separated across the room. The mad scientist was spraying everythign
with the flamethrower - however realising they were dead anyway the
gunslinger shot the flamethrowers tank - sending everything and
everyone skyward.

The next one shot will start off with the posse awakening in various
forms of undeath - just as the night train leaves and a one eyed Texas
Ranger and his posse ride in to Varney Flats. Stuck between a rock and
a hard place with cool, funky new powers.
