Out of the blue.  Made it up in '84 for the character name for the Ultima 4 
computer game.   Been using it since for various things - bbs logins, AOL 
account, etc. etc.

It's only later that I found out that darious is the Westernization 
(probably through France - stupid pointless silent letters) of Darius - the 
line of Persian kings who ended when Alexander jackbooted Darius III across 
the Med.
