I like the gun idea, but keep in mind that the HoE official setting is one 
of many (infinite) possible resolutions for what takes place in 
Deadlands...I personally use it, but if you wanted to run it with the good 
guys winning right off, or with space aliens taking over the Weird West, 
then by all means, do so.
