Wouldn't the friction from the round traveling down the barrel, the
friction from the wind resistance and the impact friction of the bullet
striking its target be enough to change the RP back to WP? If that is
the case, then a regular firearm would be able to use RP ammo.
If a "striking surface" is need to trigger the RP-WP reaction, then
perhaps a special choke tube (Yeah, I know choke tubes are for shotguns,
but I envision something similar for rifles and pistols) could be added
to a firearm as a modification.
