Re: [DL] Intro Adventure
Hiya, Doug.
I was in the same exact situation as you awhile back.
It grew into THE one game I could get everybody to
play. I think you'll have a whole lot of fun.
I've run a couple of campaigns, so here's some ideas.
The adventure in the back of the Marshal's Guide is a
good one. The Dime Novels are nice, especially
Perdition's Daughter. That's a favorite.
Other than the Player's and Marshal's books, I'd
suggest finding a place you'd like to call home if you
ran DL for an extended time. Like the Great Maze, or
Lost Angels, South of the Border, something like that.
There is a lot of depth in those books and a bunch of
adventure seeds available for you to use later. Plus,
they're just plain fun reads. I don't know what you're
used to playing, but Pinnacle stuff tends to be a hell
of a lot more story-based, which makes reading the
books very, very entertaining. No reference-type books
here. I think you'd be best served with a setting book
like that.
Hope this helps!
