RE: [DL] European source books for Deadlands

And Poland?! Why didn't you mentioned Poland?! Never heard about
general Kosciuszko and Pulaski?!
--------------------------
Count Pulaski: A Polish nobleman who came over to the fledgling US and was a
cavalry commander and eventually raised his own corp (appropriately known as
Pulaski's legion). He died in the assault on British-held Savannah
in...(flip, flip, flip) Oct. 1779.
Hmmm, Kosciuszko.... I had to look him up. A Polish Patriot who became a
General in the US Revolution.
Forgive my fellow countrymen, Barman. We hear about a handful our
native-born leaders and the Marquis de Lafayette (Perhaps because G.
Washington took him under his wing.) and, if they have done a little more
reading, Baron von Steuben for his work at Valley Forge. I suspect that
many (but far from all) on this list would be surprised that Robert E. Lee's
father was Lighthorse Harry Lee, one of Washington's cavalry commanders.
You, however, are perhaps one of the best people on the list to give us an
idea of what might be going on in Poland at the time of the Reckoning. I
know that there are a lot of marshes that should hold a tale or two and the
possibility of old Teutonic Knights' fortresses holding ancient evils but
those are vague guesses at best.
