Not yey. In my game, they're an NPC-only gizmo at the
moment, so I didn't bother with any details (NPC
gizmos only fail a Reliability check when I say so ...
:)). Off the top of my head, I'd say this is the
quality and workmanship of the vaopr goggles used by
Dr Gash's minions:
Reliability: 18
Cost: N/A, but about $1500 on the black market
Hand: Three Pairs
Malfunctions:
Minor: The glasses fog up with condensation attracted
by the vapor. It takes 1d4 Actions to clean it.
Major: Some of the vapor escapes and makes the wearer
a little giddy. Roll a Vigor check with a difficulty
of Onerous (7). If the roll is failed, the wearer
takes 1d6 Wind and sees pretty colors for a like
number of rounds, invoking a -2 to all visually-based
actions.
Catastrophic: A fine jet of vapor escapes and shoots
into the wearer's eye, causing blinding pain. Roll A
Vigor roll of difficulty Hard (9). If the roll is
failed, the wearer takes 3d6 damage to the noggin. If
4 wounds are caused (highly unlikely), the character
has lost an eye. The results for a Major Malfunction
are also applied here.

Actually, it's quoted from the Five Rings Mailing
List. A guy named Paul Jacoby was mentioning how the
Dark God Fu Leng could have been Bert from Sesame
Street. It's a logical assumtion. The fact that Bert
and Fu Leng have never been seen in a photograph
together smacks of a crude and clumsy cover-up! Bert
and Hitler, however ... check out
