    You're referring to MIDDLE-EARTH ROLEPLAYING, a product that Iron Crown 
Enterprises produced for many years. It did, indeed, use a variant of ICE's 
Rolemaster system. However, due to ICE's bankruptcy some years ago, they lost 
the Tolkien license; it has not produced any new MERP products for years.
    Decipher acquired the license last year. Its game has no connection with 
the old ICE game.
