No, you're right woves are nastier than coyotes. Wolves weigh between two and
three times what a coyote does and the biting power of a wolf is more suited
to gnashing and tearing large prey items whereas coyotes are primarily
scavengers although they do prey on rabbits, squirrels, quail and pheasants
and and mice.

Yeah but coyotes are sufficiently different from other caenids I'd recommend
you make the following adjustment: add 1-2 ranks to both Hide and Move
Silently skills for ambush purposes.

If I were to run DLd20 I'd use the following mechanics:
White Chip: +1 to a single die roll or the restoration of 1 hit point.
Red Chip: +2 to a single die roll, may be used in conjunction with a white
chip for a total bonus of +3, or the restoration of 1d4 hit points.
Blue Chip: Reroll any one die roll or the restoration of 1d6 hit points.
Legend Chip: Add 1d6 to ALL rolls that round or the cancellation of all
damage from a single source.
Heroes still receive only one chip per session and may receive another 1
perhaps 2 as an ingame reward. Any chips not spent carry over into the next.
Happy gaming!
