[DL] RE: Need Lawdogs?!
There is a place called Horizon Games in Houston Texas. The last time I was
in there, they had several Orange Books. Law Dogs was on the shelf. I don't
have the phone, but do a search and you'll find it. They may ship it to you.

This looks interesting, but as someone who knows

I agree, but the one caveat to this is the fact that those with leadership
can only go on thier card, That has been very frustrating for me when I see
how Leadership would help so much - but the character who has the skill in
spades drew a 3,3,2,BJ. ;-)

I have been collecting the books and just found out that a few are out of
print. While I will continue to look for Law Dogs on e-bay, can anyone tell
me if there was anything in there that was worthwhile that isn't in some
other source (like the Players Guide or Marshall's Handbook)? The Huckster

Ghostdancers but the gunslinger feels a bit left out..
Does anyone have any inside info on when and if new editions of oop books

I haven't got Law Dogs myself (similar situation to your own), but off-hand
I know that it contains rules for Hexslingers, who are gunslingers that
use magic to enhance their abilities (like Enlightened Martial Artists do,
I guess) which aren't repeated anywhere else.
> Does anyone have any inside info on when and if new editions of oop books

They don't. Amazon are still claiming they'll be getting a hardback
version
of Law Dogs last April
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1889546267/qid%3D998400590/107-704088
6-8979741
but according to Mario Lee Bansen this is false.
All the OOP books are or will be available as .pdf files - although that
doesn't do much for your orangeness status.

You can get a copy of Law Dogs on a custom made CD-Rom from Pinnacle for
$10.00.
A greatly expanded listing of guns with year of introduction alone is
worth $10.00.

A really cool campaign book for Rail Wars. Three different scenarios that

Subject: [DL] Trick: Stabilize
I am going out on a hunch that I can send questions to the Deadlands disgest
list like any other list.
Quick question: The Thaumaturgical Diffusion booklet has a lifty little
trick called Stabilize. In essence, it lowers the amount of damage a
volitile chemical will do if it explodes. Now, I was wondering if this
would work on gunpowder, like the gunpowder in the rounds of an enemy's gun.
MY thinking is, the gunpowder is a small amount, the Trick has a range
stated in yds-radius, so it would affect EVERYONE'S gun in the affected
radius, & would either make the rounds useless, or else lower the amount of
damage done by the bullets. If nothing else, I think there is a good Hex
here for my Hexslinger to create. Instead of calling it Stabilize, maybe
"Wet Fuse" or "Click!" (heh-heh).

Maybe "Dud!" or "Hey, it didn't go off." It does sound nice and pacifistic
(wee, I like making up words), and while maybe more powerful than a trick,
it's not a bad idea at all.

For a gunslinger?
Guns.
Lots of guns.
How to customise them (lengthened barrels, hair
triggers, set triggers, cylinder stops, engraving,
etc, etc...).
For the Marshal?
Plenty of lawmen and outlaws to use, the law in the
1870's, stuff on outlaws, a couple of new edges and
hinderances, methods of mayhem to use in crimes in the
Weird West, and more besides.
Cheers,
