[DL] Hucksters using strain
Ok these may seem a little clunky but this is what I get for writing notes
at 3 am.
Ok first the huckster/hexslinger gets strain equal to his vigor, and regains
it at a rate of 1/30 minutes. As for target numbers they start at 3 for a
hex requiring an Ace for the minimum hand and go up by 2 for each hand above
that. Here's a handy chart
Min. Hand TN
Ace 3
Pair 5
Jacks 7
2 Pair 9
3 of a Kind 11
Now on to strain costs. I figure tricks...hey what the hell they are free,
but require a TN of 7 to get off. I figure one strain for hands requiring
an Ace minimum, 2 for a Pair, 3 for Jacks, 4 for 2 pair, and 5 for 3 of a
kind. Now I know your probably asking what about backlash simple draw one
card per hex cast and if it comes up a joker (regardless of skill) the
manitou comes to say hello, also if you bust on your hexslingin' roll.
Now onto higher hand values, I figure it would either be each raise or each
+2 over the target number you get on your roll would raise the hand value by
one, I'm leaning towards a +2 on it though I should be running a game this
weekend so I am gonna see how it works with a huckster the posse is gonna go
up against. I was also thinking if the roll was enough to get the hex off
but did not have enough strength the hexslinger could sink more strain in
it...one strain per hand level up to his hexslingin' level
