Hi,
    It is interesting to note that Joshua Chamerlain's activities at the
battle of Gettysburg are about the only Union scenes in Ted Turner's
"Gettysburg."
    On another movie trivia note:  Stand Watie may also have been the basis
for Lone Watie (played by Chief Dan George) in Outlaw Josey Wales, or at
least so www.imdb.com suggests.  BTW, it's a good movie for getting ideas
about how to run "mid-way" Indian PCs (i.e. neither Old Ways nor totally
accepting the White man's world).
