    The latter, I'd say. Professional: Law (or Lawyer) would tell you how to 
run a law office, what court to file a particular type of lawsuit in, various 
legal procedures, and even how to cozy up to the judge. ;)  Academia: Law 
would represent actual knowledge of laws themselves.
