Though, to be honest, he started out a lot more normal than he is now!

For myself, I have a hard time coming up with a lot of history before
actually playing the character, unless I am building off of a stereotype
(i.e. a Big Game Hunter, for example)  My characters tend to be shaped by
what happens to them in game, as they react to the events and the people
around them.  I start off with a basic framework - a personality archetype,
if you will, and go from there. The feel more real to me that way, and
sometimes, the characters take on a life of their own and do things that
surprise me.

That, to me, is one of the best parts of gaming...
