A really good road atlas is good, otherwise, search the Internet for historical information on Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas and Utah. There's got to be historical information on those states, including historical towns and figures. In the game, Utah, called Deseret, is controlled by Mormons. I recommend the book Trail of Hope about the Mormon migration west for historical information. Marshal Eric
