Ok, step deuce- The CS

The Confederate States of America

Goals- Win independence, hold itself together.

Strengths- Skilled leadership, increasing industrial capacity, better troops, decent amount of New Science gadgets.

Weaknesses- Technological and industrial capacity is inferior to the North. They're getting a bit worn. Social change is causing it' usual disruptions. Then there's the fact that their leader is actually a heck-spawned abomination, and no, I don't mean LeChuck.

Friends- Britain, Canada, France (kind of), the Reckoners

Enemies- The USA, Mexico, The Reckoners (some day, they won't need the CSA the way they do now), the Order of the Golden Circle (subversively)

Organizations They Control- The Texas Rangers, Dixie Rails, the Confederate armed forces.

The Reckoner Connection- The Reckoners want to keep the Confederacy going, while at the same time raising the fear level via Jefferson Davis, Order of the Golden Circle, etc. etc.

Area of Influence- The deep south, Virginia and the carolinas, the southwest, bits of the Maze.


Let's do Deseret while we're at it.

Deseret

Goals- Maintain independence, and their Mormon roots or whatnot.

Strengths- High technology, the fact that everyone else is distracted. 

Weaknesses- Smaller then everyone else. In the middle of a desert. That wierdo Hellstromme. Social change, causing trouble, pollution.

The Reckoner Connection- Hellstromme's right there, and SLC is the foremost city of the New Science. 

Friends- Hellstromme, for now. The Salt Rattlers.

Organizations They Control- the Mormon Church, the Nauvoo Legion.

Enemies- None, really. The US would like to have them back, but that requires a lot more effort than they could bear. Hellstromme is kind of a mixed blessing.

Area of Influence- Utah.
