A house rule used by our group is that you can only spend 1 chip to prevent on source of damage, so if your getting 9 wounds to the head even a legend chip can't help you. The result of this is that while the death rate did not go up, the players were more carefull about thier fights since any wound would leave them bleeding, or suck up a blue chip rather then 3 whites.
