[DL] Plot Ideas

I was watching Angel last night and they had a plot
which I thought would work in the DL universe.  It was
the cliche "Evil Hand" bit, aka someone gets an
experimental hand transplant, and it turns out to be a
killer ... with of course a twist.  The twist in this
case was the original owner was still alive (not
original yet, but wait), and was being kept alive on a
respirator machine.  He was being harvested for organs
(along with other people).  He was suffering and
wanted to die ... the hand somehow maintained a
psychic link to him and was trying to fulfill the
suicidal wish ... only with the wrong person.

I can picture an old doctor driving a beat up steam
wagon, with some ALIVE bodies hidden inside.  He's
been building up a reputation as a miracle man ..
helping restore functionality to people maimed during
the war.  Note this is different than patchwork
science as the body parts are mostly alive when
attached to a new person.  Where he gets his harvest
victims from .. dunno .. maybe bandits.

For someone who gets a new limb, treat them as if they
were harrowed with a lesser manitou ... ie domain
checks.  Note: The aren't harrowed, do not get
harrowed powers, nor is it a manitou.  What it is, is
the still living victim trying to use the *link*
through the organ to control the host enough to free
themselves from this mortal torture.  Unfortunately
they don't know where they are, have difficulty
remembering who they are, and sometimes accidentally
kill the wrong people (the host or the host's family).
 The only way to be free of this link is to kill the
victim (or chop off the limb), but the victim might
then fully enter the limb (only if you're mean).

Suggestion, either hide the bodies under the
steamwagon, a bit too obvious, or have the Doctor have
a centralized town where he keeps the bodies (but no
one there knows him) and he only works at further away
towns.

Other ideas:

While waiting in line for groceries, noticed the
latest Weekly World News had a man chop off his own
head with a chainsaw and have it sewn back on ...
least that's what the teaser implied.  So therefor,
I'm looking over the WWN website
(http://www.weeklyworldnews.com/) and once more
pulling up THINGS THAT COULD BE TOMBSTONE TITLES .....

*Ok, I added the 7 - 10 bit ... but the rest is
verbatum.  Maybe drop the bowling aspect, and it would
work for deadlands .. unless bowling did exist back
then.  Personally I'd go for shrunken heads as pool
balls :)*

SATAN'S FACE PHOTOGRAPHED OVER US CAPITAL

*Noooooo, not again, not again .... how many times can
they use the SAME picture?  Hmmm, maybe this can be
dug up and reused for Satan's face photographed over
Gettysberg?*

LAMB WITH HUMAN FACE BORN IN INDIA - The condition is
common in horses - but rare in sheep.

*Ok, first off, if photos are nonexistent, why is a
photo supplied ... where did it come from?  And
second, horses with human faces are common?  This
definitely sounds like a deadland oddity ... dunno how
to put it in a game.*

*Snicker ... ok, that would make a nice twist on
NightTrain ... all the nose-ferrets have had their
teeth removed and num you to death .. hehehehehe*

I HAD BIGFOOT'S SON - Katie Murtin claims to have had
an affair with a Bigfoot several years ago and she
says the outcome of her relationship is little Kelly
Kendall Murtin -- her furry 4-year-old son.!

"Miss Murtin says she came face-to-face with the boy's
hairy, 7-foot 6 Bigfoot father while on a solo camping

*I'm sorry, she had to do more than come face-to-face
to produce a son with a ... oh?  Not that spelling of
...um ... I leave that for the OT list.  As a side
note, besides furry children running around, anyone
see the ep of Invisble Man with the Bigfoot? 
Explained them away by saying they could go invisible
at will ... heh ... imagine, invisible wendigos :)*

HALF-HUMAN, HALF-FISH FOUND IN FLORIDA - A fish with
human legs washed up on a Florida beach several years
ago and hundreds or even thousands of similar
creatures  might be living in the ocean!

*Why does Florida seem to be where all the monsters
are at?  Oh, wait, maybe because that's the largest
demographic area for selling the paper ... hmmm.  I
wondered about that and the Tombstone Ep.  Does it
cover US wide news, or focus moreso on just it's
selling areas?  Likewise, would it really have a big
readership outside of Arizona.  Wouldn't there be
other rags of similar quality to fill the niche?*

*AAHHHHH, just read the vamp story ... seems he tried
to gum a cop .. hehehehehe .. so after a SECOND arrest
he was ordered to undergo a psychiatric and physical
evaluation ... I can see doing that to a Hanging Judge
.. hehehehe*
