In helping a PC work up her background, I was doing some online research
into Chinese Astrology and came across this table for the first 3000 years
of AD.  I have the section on the 19th Century highlighted.

In an interesting bit of synchronicity, the year of the Great Quake that
sends California into the ocean is the Year of the Dragon, associated with
Earth.
