This one is the one that drives me to research, but it's also what makes
this game so distinctly american, which appeals to me.

Horror can be difficult -I still haven't found a copy of that "Nighmares
of Mine" book which has been reccommended so many times here.
the weirdness to me is part an parcel to the horror, but I think that
element could have a strong philosophical twist esp. when combined with
the alternate timeline. It would come into play more in BE or european
campaigns with a posse interacting with some of the intellectual giants of
the age.
The History channel has been having a very interesting program on lately
about the history of drug abuse. Night before last I think, it was
talking about Freud's little fascination with cocaine. Very interesting.
Don't need any wacky elixers really for your snake oil salesman -just use
the real stuff...

This is the one element I would never worry about at all. Just having
people talkin in a western accent and the natural nuttiness of the folks I
game with takes care of that completely.
;)
