[DL] GRW Ships! [Shane]
I notice from the PEG web page that GRW is about to come back from
the dead at last! I just have one quick question for you. Will those of us
who are old GRW players need to pick up the new rule book to play "revised"
GRW? What sorts of new stuff is in the second edition rules? I have the High
Noon rules down load and all the supplemental GRW publications from the
first time around for what it's worth. I think I'm just trying to justify
the purchase of another book to myself and I'm looking for ammunition :)
BTW the new cover for Weird Wars looks GREAT. I am by no means a D20
fan but the "world" sounds so cool I'm going to have to get involved.
With regard to the auto fire rules have you considered anything like
the old GDW DarkCon system? Roll a D6 (or Dx) for each bullet fired with
each "6" hitting something in the target area (actually there is more to it
than that but that's the basics). It does require a lot of dice rolling but
I do sort of like the "who cares about skill when you're using a lead hose"
aspect of the system. Of course it's not as useful for smaller "controlled"
bursts. Just a thought.
