This is such a perfect opportunity I just -can't- pass
it by! I know nothing about trains, other than they
run on rails and are steam driven. For that matter, I
don't want to know that more. But can SOMEONE for the
love of God! tell me the measurements of a standard
railroad car?!?!?!
I looked through every book I'm allowed, even did the
library / Internet / Barnes & Noble search, and while
I know more about engines than I ever want to, I can't
find the dimensions of a car!!! I've estimated 16 by
50 feet, but an actual size would be great. For that
matter, the height of a car would be good as well, or
the height of a standard tunnel.
And I'm assuming gague means the distance between the
rails? Probably a dumb question, but I don't know the
answer.
