RE: [DL] Arguments against lynch law (spoilers)

The possed is supposed to be deputized before they start guarding the
prisoner. That implies they swear to obey the law, which in turn implies a
trial for the bushwacker. Once they accept the be deputies, they can't allow
the prisoner to be hanged, otherwise they become outlaws themselves.
So what you have to do is to get your players to accept the charge of
deputies. If they don't do it for justice, they might do it for money. I
don't see what else the sheriff could offer (from what I remember of the
yarn, he was not a very resourceful man). Perhaps your players need some
info he has ?

	Folks,

I've just read DL andventure (no name given, because of spoilers) in
which posse has to stop angry mob from lynching some piece of particulary
nasty and heel bushwacker.
