[DL] Requesting Opinions about a Deadlands Directory
Hi all,
As I've mentioned a time or two, I'm an editor for the Open Directory
Project, also known (for some reason) as 'Dmoz'. I edit the directory for
Deadlands at:
http://www.dmoz.org/Games/Roleplaying/Systems/Deadlands/
I'm trying out something new, something I haven't seen other editors do for
roleplaying games. I've added links to other directories at Dmoz that deal,
not just with the game, but with the game's time period. Things like the
history of the West and the Civil War, Native Americans, Science, that sort
of thing.
I thought that people who were trying to do research in conjunction with the
game could use the links to help speed up their searches by giving them
someplace to start. My question for the assembled masses is, 'Is this
useful?' I'm sure there are a great many of you who already have a hard
drive full of Research links, but for those who are just starting out, would
this be helpful? If it is, I'll recommend it to other RPG directory editors.
BTW, if this is a good idea, do any of you have any good ideas as to
additional directory links I could provide? Any comments, etc. would be
greatly appreciated.
