I thought it was funny that the Subject line read: "Alternate ordering
methods"

That certainly was one alternative.  I was talking to a friend on the phone,
and couldn't believe my eyes.  I had to pause our conversation to send you
an email. 

You apparently got snagged by the Reply 'feature' that replies to the list,
not the sender.  Bummer.
