This shouldn't be a spoiler for anything, but just in case...









If you can get your hands on a copy of HoE, look up Spook Juice.  It's what
you get when you cross gasoline and Ghost Rock for use in internal
combustion engines (cars and such).  There's several effects on the human
body if you drink the stuff given in one of the green books.  Eating the
Ghost Rock raw might have similar effects, throw in a little Donner-party
madness too, and maybe your MS's start loosing just their hands -- the parts
stained black by the Ghost Rock handling.  And have the posse find the mine,
where the first few cannibalism victims remains lay.  Missing hands/arms,
and lungs (if coal mining can get you black lung disease, how nasty a
disease does Ghost Rock mining get you?), the first victims remains are a
grisly sight indeed!  The 'rescued survivors', when asked where the rest of
the miners are, claim the others were lost in a cave-in deep inside the
mine.  Noone thinks twice about that until new victims start appearing,
missing previously blackened body parts.  Provide just enough clues to lead
the posse towards the mine and/or miners...

How's that?
