*sigh* once again, this is covered in the Back East: The South book. 
While the Klan's name is not used (as portraying them as evil,
murdering, racists would allow them to sue PEGinc for defamation of
character [insert joke here]), there is a similar group, the Knights of
the Golden Circle.  They're led by quite an interesting character.
