[DL] 1876 vs. 1877

Hello! :)

Okay, so I know that the original edition of Deadlands
was set in 1876.  And then there was the Tale's o'
Terror: 1877 book that updated the setting.  I think
the revised edition came out after this source book.

So here is my question.  Does the information in the
Marshal's Handbook of the Revised Edition reflect 1876
or 1877?  And what exactly does that mean?

Does Tale's o' Terror: 1877 cover the events of 1876
there by bringing the setting into 1877 or does it
cover the events OF 1877?

Also if the Marshal's Handbook DOES include info from
Tale's o' Terror: 1877, does anyone know what's in the
source book that's NOT in the Marshal's Handbook?

I hope all of this makes sense.
